NPTI

Being Lazy
For me, today is one of those days where I don't feel like doing anything. I'm sure many of you have days just the same. Sometimes I feel bad about sitting at home being lazy but it's ok! You need to give your body time to rest and recover from the stresses of working out. It's good to keep healthy and exercise on a regular basis, but remember, you can still have those days to just sit, relax, and think about how good of shape you are getting in from exercising. Learn to write out planned workouts for the week, you will find yourself more motivated to complete the "task" you've written for yourself and then can pick your own lazy days! Remember to always stretch those sore muscles after workout and days off, its something so easy!

Get up and move!
Everyday I see more and more people exercising, wheather it would be people walking, running, going to the gym or playing sports. I think this is AWESOME! If everyone started becoming more active, then there would be a lot more positive people and everyone would be much more motivated in life to do whatever they want. Since i've been being more active, I feel great! I know if everyone got up off the couch, America would be a much better looking country, instead of having 2/3 of the people overweight.

New Food Pyramid
So i've seen a preview for the new food guide pyramid and all it consists of is plants, and everything else. The plants section takes up well over 50% of the pyramid. I don't think that it is very accurate on what we should or should not be eating. It seems like everyone would turn into vegitarians which isn't a bad thing, but I think that we all still need to get a decent amount of grains and meats in our diet. But I will agree that many americans struggle everyday to eat more fruits and vegitables. If everyone starting eating more plants, America will turn into a much healthier country. But, the way I see people going to fast food everyday, it doesnt look like the change will be that dramatic for awhile.
